Incoming UVI Students Urged to Register for Placement Exams

April 15, 2016 - High School seniors who are interested in attending the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) for the Fall 2016 semester are encouraged to register early for the placement exam. Students with SAT or ACT scores below University guidelines are required to take the placement exam which evaluates proficiency levels. Proper placement in the reading, writing, and math courses help to ensure student success and allows for advancement toward their degree goals. Read More

April 12, 2016 - The University of the Virgin Islands has been designated as an Authorized Training Center by the American Heart Association (AHA), the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. Through the UVICELL Center, the University will provide emergency life support courses to meet the needs of healthcare providers and the general public. Read More

TEAS Testing Scheduled for Spring 2016 Semester

April 10, 2016 - The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) is pleased to announce testing dates for the TEAS exam. The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is used as part of the admissions process by Nursing and Allied Health schools nationwide. UVI students who desire to enter the School of Nursing are required to sit for the TEAS exam. Read More

UVI Announces Spring 2016 CLEP Schedule

February 15, 2016 - The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) is pleased to announce CLEP exam dates for the Spring 2016 semester. The College Level Exam Program (CLEP) is a computer-based exam taken by college students with previous knowledge of the subject matter and is taken in lieu of college courses. Students can earn college credit by achieving qualifying scores on any of the 33 exams offered by CLEP. Read More
