The Virgin Islands Public Health Training Center (VI-PHTC) Initiative is a collaborative effort of Region 2 Public Health Training Center Institutes (Columbia University, Rutgers University, University of Puerto Rico and the University of the Virgin Islands).

The goal of the project is to make it easier for public health workers in the Virgin Islands to obtain access to quality training. The project was supported by a $50,000 grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), grant number UB6HP27878-01-00.
