Are you interested in the culinary arts? Do you have an interest in the service industry and would like to become a bartender?

Diageo USVI in collaboration with the UVICELL Center is pleased to provide an opportunity for you to participate in this exciting program.  The Learning for Life program will provide you with both the life and practical skills necessary to get into the workforce.  

Cost: Free to participants.  This program is being underwritten by Diageo USVI. 

Note: The program will be run simultaneously on St. Croix and St. Thomas.

Qualifying Criteria

  • Must be 18  - 27 years old 
  • Must be a resident of the U.S. Virgin Islands 
  • Must be able to attend day sessions over a six-week period (8:30 am - 12:30 pm)  
  • Must obtain a health card 
  • Must be motivated with a serious interest in bartending or culinary arts 
  • Attend mandatory sessions: Information session and Orientation 

Important Dates 
Application Deadline: Monday, September 24, 2018 
Interviews and Selection: September 25 & 26, 2018 
Orientation and First session: Monday, October 1
Food Handlers Card due: Friday, October 5, 2018
